It reviews green markets, technologies, and practices with a focus on developing Asian countries and offers a set of policy options to enable governments and finance institutions to accelerate green business development in the region.
The country operations business plan (COBP) for India, 2020–2022 is the third under the Asian Development Bank (ADB) country partnership strategy (CPS) for India, 2018–2022. The COBP is well aligned with the CPS, which aims to support India in accelerating its inclusive economic transformation. It operationalizes the CPS’ three pillars: 1) boosting competitiveness to create jobs, 2) providing inclusive access to infrastructure networks and services, and 3) addressing climate change and increasing climate resilience.

It explores the significant potential of solar district heating to accelerate the integration of renewable energy into heating systems in the PRC. This will be important in promoting low-carbon cities and reducing urban air pollution. The study highlights that solar district heating (SDH) can provide high efficiency and reliability as well as environmental benefits.
This report reviews the evolution of the energy security concept, examines the regional context for energy cooperation, analyzes the economic and energy profiles of Central Asian economies, investigates nations’ RE policies, explores the RE potential in each economy, reviews the regional and specific national barriers for RE development, provides some recommendations about ways to ensure energy security through regional energy cooperation, and characterizes the essential components of comprehensive national policies to enable a fuller utilization of the RE potential existing in Central Asia.
